Be Still and Know I am God – Part II

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Be still, and know that I am Elohim (God): I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. – Psalm 46:10 KJV

I challenged you yesterday to spend some “be” time with our Father.  How did it go?  Well, I don’t want you to stop there.  I want you to continue until this becomes a lifestyle for you.  Have you taken some time today to “be?”

Some of the most glorious things Father has told me have come out of the time I carve out to be with Him.  I have received much-needed ministry instructions during these times.  I don’t share this with you to boast of lofty supernatural occurrences.  I share this with you to provoke you to Godly jealousy and spur you on in this practice of being.

I see so many ministry leaders caught up in the cycle of doing.  They run from special event to special event and from conference to conference.  When do they really hear from Elohim (God) and receive instructions about the direction He desires to take them in ministry?  How can you walk in the glory of Elohim (God) if you aren’t receiving specific instructions?  If Elohim (God) tells you to place your hand on the side of someone’s face to begin the healing process and you place it on their ear, you have missed the glory.  Jesus spent time with the Father before, during, and after ministering.  I believe He knew exactly who would be healed, and how prior to even stepping foot on the scene because He carved out time to “be” with Abba.

I remember this one minister Elohim (God) enabled me to minister to about the busyness in his life.  My husband and I were attending a service at a church he pastored.  According to his calendar the service had to end, as he had another service in less than 30 minutes in a town about 30 minutes away.  Holy Spirit clearly was not finished.  He was still ministering to His people, and the minister kept saying, “I have to go; the car has pulled up to the front door and is waiting on me.”  Elohim (God) urged me to walk over to Him.  When he acknowledged me, Elohim (God) said, through me, “Bring me your calendar and let me fill it.”  He just looked at me like a deer caught up in the headlights of a car.

The lesson for you mentee is, let Elohim (God) determine the when, where, and how He chooses to manifest His glory through you, and the bonus is if you spend time “being” with Him, He’ll clue you in to each and every detail before you arrive.  I’ve seen Him do it time and time again.  Trust me, and now go “be” with Him.  Find some more scriptures that focus in on your identity and inheritance.

I’ll see you back here on Monday.

Resting gloriously in Him,

Karen sig-the making

Be Still and Know I am God – Part I

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. – Psalm 46:10 KJV

When we follow Yashusha’s (Jesus’)  ministry, we notice He purposely carved out time to pull away from the crowds, the masses, and the work Elohim (God) assigned His hands.  This was His “be” time with His Father.  I believe many ministers of the gospel have completely missed this Kingdom pearl.  We must pull away from work, family, and everything else on a consistent and regular basis to simply “be” with our Father too.

This “be” time is not spent whining, complaining, talking about problems, ministry, “the church” or anything else for that matter.  This time is spent reflecting on who He created you to be.  That’s right an entire day, hour, week, or some other designated period of time to focus on your identity and inheritance.  I do this on a regular basis, and it has been integrated into the time I spend with Him daily.  I have been doing this since 2004, and I have noticed that some of the most intimate things Elohim (God) has shared with me are birthed out of this time.  My purpose is not to necessarily hear from Him, just to be with Him.  The other thing I’ve noticed as an outgrowth of this time is that I have become what I’ve meditated on.  For truly we become what we focus on.

Here are just  some of the scriptures I reflect on during this time:

And I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. – 2 Corinthians 6:18 AMP

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. – Ephesians 2:10 AMP

You are the light of the world.  A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. – Matthew 5:14

I want to challenge you today and tomorrow to turn off the computer (after you finish reading the blog, of course, and have jotted down the scriptures) to enter into His presence via reflection on who you are and your inheritance in Him.  Notice:  I did not say enter into His presence by speaking in tongues; playing five worship songs.  I call this revving up. There is no need to rev up when your spirit is filled with the knowledge of His will, which is His word.  The word is alive, active, and powerful all by itself.  It’s always ready to accomplish exactly what Elohim (God) intends.

Resting gloriously in Him,

Counterfeit Glory & Satan’s Church – Part II

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

We are still setting the glory record straight by exposing counterfeit vessels and glory.  Here we go.

A counterfeit manifestation of glory is comprised of two things:

  1. The manifested act contains no permanency.
  2. The ministerial leader who is being used to carry out the miracle, healing, sign, or wonder doesn’t reflect God’s character or nature.  Even though the miracle or healing is potent and lasting, the vessel without God’s character or nature is a false vessel; thereby, rendering the act counterfeit and not the real thing inspired by the spirit of God.

I mentioned this before, but it’s sure worth repeating.  Miracles, signs, wonders, and healings can be imitated and duplicated, but true character can’t.

Let’s define Satan’s church.

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. – Revelation 3:8-10 KJV

We see that there were some who were saying they were Jews and were not.  They were lying, and God said, “He would make them to be identified as from the synagogue of Satan.  The Jews are God’s chosen people, His wife.  So, when we say (either through our actions or verbally) that we are God’s true chosen vessels and we don’t keep His word (i.e., a true doer of the word, not a hearer only), we lie and associate ourselves with the synagogue of Satan.  What I love about this passage of scripture is that for those who are holding fast to their confession, a reward is coming.  Those who are masquerading as God’s chosen will come and worship before our feet and come into the realization that He loves us.  Why will they come and worship at our feet?  Because they will see the real, true, and genuine power and character of God coming forth from His made vessels.

There has never been one occasion in the bible when the true encountered the false vessels and God’s power failed or fell short.  Trace it through the bible when Moses threw down his rod and it turned into a snake that devoured the magicians and witches of his day.  Shoot on down to Elijah’s offering went down thoroughly while the idolaters called on their false God to no avail.  Elijah’s offering burnt with the fire of God after being wet thoroughly with water.  I’ll stop here, as I know you get the picture and they’re many more of such occurrences in the word of God.

Another way to identify a true vessel is by these characteristics:  they guard the gospel message and His word, they don’t deny His name through their lifestyles, and they endure testing with faith and patience.  These are the works He said He knew about them in the above passage of scripture.

Note:  I want to be sure to in no way indicate that I’m referring to the Jews/Israel or the places Jews worship in this post.  When I explored the Hebrew root word for synagogue, I found it to be a synonym which is also used in the new covenant (New Testament) meaning assembly, congregation, any gathering of people for the purposes of worship and reading God’s word.  Research afforded me the knowledge that even trials were used for inflicting punishment in the old covenant (Old Testament).  That being said, the word synagogue is a generic word that can refer to the heathen, Jews, or Christians. The emphasis God wants to make through me in this post is on false vessels proclaiming to be true vessels.  This post is not aimed or targeted at God’s chosen people, the Jews.  We love Israel and the Jewish people and pray for them as the word of God commands.

Counterfeit Glory & Satan’s Church – Part I

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. – Revelation 3:8-10 KJV

By now we all know as soon as God begins to manifest His glory, counterfeit waves of glory will spring up like wildfire.  The Lord has been dealing heavily with me about calling a spade a spade. Many of us have seen powerful manifestations in the form of false healing, deliverance, signs and wonders.  I’m here to set the glory record straight.

God doesn’t renege on His promises.  He is not a man that He should lie.  There is neither shadow or turning with Him.  You did not receive your healing and then lose it.  You were not delivered before and now struggle incessantly.  The truth is an agent of Satan’s church seduced you by demonstrating some sign and wonder that you believed.  The work God does is done.  I’m not saying you won’t be tempted in an area you were delivered, but the power of God within keeps you from yielding to that temptation.  If He healed you, you are healed.  I don’t recall ever reading about anyone that Jesus healed and then they came back and said, “You healed me, but now I have leprosy again.”  Or I was blind you restored my sight, and now I can’t see again.

I repeat, this act is from Satan’s church.  Satan is a master at deceiving us into thinking he is giving us something, but time always reveals it is an empty bag.

Come back tomorrow when we define counterfeit glory, a synagogue of Satan, and spur us on even more to becoming true, glorious vessels.

Glorify Me That You May Be Glorified Oh, Lord

Monday, October 26th, 2009

Truly, this is Yashusha’s (Jesus’) prayer to His Father.  If you are seeking His glory for you to be glorified and can’t sincerely pray Yashusha’s (Jesus’) prayer, then your motives are all wrong.  We are not seeking the glory that we may shine.  It is not about others foaming at the mouth over us when the power of Elohim (God) is manifested.  We are not the treasure!  So many leaders are walking in deception believing they are the treasure.  We have “this treasure,” Yashusha (Jesus), in earthen vessels, but we are not the treasure.  He is.

Out of all the prayers I’ve prayed regarding the glory, this one is the nearest to my heart and I believe to the heart of the Father also.  There is no reason for Elohim (God) to glorify us if that glorification isn’t for the sole purpose of Him being glorified.  That being said, let’s look at what to glorify means.

Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. – Romans 8:30b AMP

To glorify here means to be raised to a heavenly dignity, condition or state of being.  How many of us are seeking this type of glorification over the world’s glory – – manner and way of raising us through materialism?  Glorification to Elohim (God) is a heavenly raising.  Glorification to man is an earthy, worldly, or fleshing way of raising you.  Will your ministry be glorified by heaven or earth, by man or Elohim (God)?

My prayer for leaders all around the nation is:  Raise us up to have dignity with heaven, not earth!  This is what is right although my flesh might fight.  What then can we say about all this heavenly glorification?  If Elohim (God) be for us, who can be against us?  Who can be our foe, if Elohim (God) is on our side?  Who can condemn us?  Will Christ who died for and is interceding for us?

Shall suffering separate me from the love of Elohim (God)?  No, for His sake I’m disregarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter.

No suffering, no glory. No passing through the darkness, no glory. I encourage you topick upa copy of The Making as I share some of my sufferings and how Elohim (God) glorified me through it.

The Glory is Your Inheritance – Part II

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Yesterday we laid the foundation by revealing that our inheritance is the glory of Elohim (God).  Today we will continue in this theme.

In the natural, a will is a legally binding agreement that outlines what you will inherit.  In the spiritual, Elohim (God) has disclosed our inheritance in His word, and we inherit the glory.  The bible further stipulates the terms and conditions for walking and living in the inheritance (i.e, the glory).  I encourage each and every one of you to seek the word for these terms and conditions for yourself.  Even though Elohim (God) has given us His glory as our inheritance, it is our responsibility to go to the lawyer (i.e, the law of Elohim [God]) to understand the conditions of receiving/picking up our inheritance.

Now, let’s talk about our executor . . . the one who sees to it that things are carried out according to our Father’s will. He is Holy Spirit, who knows the mind of Elohim (God).  When we yield and cooperate with Holy Spirit, we give Him permission to begin transforming us into the fullness of the knowledge of Elohim (God).  Holy Spirit is also the resident power that enables us to please our Father.  Holy Spirit in us produces the very nature and character of Elohim (God).  Truly, it is only by the power of Holy Spirit that we manifest Elohim (God)’s glory via healing, signs, wonders, and miracles.

Our heartfelt leadership cry:

Lord, open our spiritual ears to hear, discern, and receive your will.  I thank you for revealing that I cannot walk in Your glory if I’m not completely filled with the knowledge of Your will.  I thank You Holy Spirit for being my executor and leading me into all truth and understanding.  I yield to cooperate with Your strong urgings and your gentle promptings that I might be ushered into the glory inheritance.  Thank You for my inheritance.  Thank you, Lord.  I praise You for the inheritance. Amen.

And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.” – Numbers 18:20

The Glory is Your Inheritance – Part I

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

The glory is your inheritance!  Invest in the glory.  You see people in Corporate America who pursue certain careers and professions invest almost anything and everything to receive the education, credentials, peers, mentors, etc. to be in that field.  Let’s apply that to your leadership call and the glory Elohim (God) desires to manifest through it.  What are you willing to invest to study to shew thyself approved?  How far will you travel to align with leadership peers and brothers/sisters in Christ?  What additional mentoring, training, and coaching does He want to pour into you?

It may not seem like it, but our inheritance is the glory.  It does not yet appear what you shall be, but when you see Him, you’ll be like Him.  Don’t make the mistake of looking for your inheritance in droves, crowds of people, or materials things (i.e., car, house, clothes, or even in a job, career or profession).

When land was being divvied out for inheritance, Aaron didn’t receive any of it, but the scripture tells us the reason why.

“And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I [am] thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.” – Numbers 18:20 KJV

The Lord was his portion (his inheritance).  The Lord Himself is the priests (leaders) reward and with Him comes His glory.  Things in your Elohim (God)-given ministry, job, or career may not go the way you thought it would because your inheritance cannot be found in those things.  No, not even your ministry.  Your inheritance is not your ministry.  Let me explain:  You don’t own it, can’t glory in it, it doesn’t define you, and it’s subject to change.

There are many facets and dimensions of ministry.  There are ups and downs, highs and lows, people may come and go, doors may open and close.  Invites will come and go, but the one thing that won’t change is Him. Throughout it all what remains constant is your inheritance.  The Lord Himself and His glory.  Yes, they and your relationship with Him and the intensity of the glory may change, get better, deepen, but in essence the inheritance is always constant, consistent, non-negotiable, ever deepening, never fleeting, temporal or carnal.  It’s spirit and life!

Ministry is not your life.  He is your life! – John 14:6.  He who loses His life shall find it.  If you don’t delight yourself in Him, you will have a miserable life.  If your joy is found in some of the other things I’ve mentioned, you will be frustrated all the time.

Here is the litmus test for Him being your inheritance:  Things Elohim (God) is telling you to do inconvenience you and cause tremendous sacrifice from you, make you uncomfortable, your money is not your own, you do what He tells you to do with it, even to the point of denying yourself.

Some use ministry to become all they can be instead of allowing Elohim (God) to be all He is!  The army says, “Be all you can be!”  Elohim (God)’s army says, (the army of the Lord), “Let Elohim (God) be all that He already is!”

Psalm 47:4
He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved.  Selah.

Proverbs 3:35
The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

My Prayer for You

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; – Colossians 1:9 KJV

The Greek word for knowledge here is epignōsis (pronounced e-pē’-gnō-sēs), and it means to be filled with precise and correct knowledge of ethical and divine things.  So, my prayer for you is that you be filled to overflowing, rendered full, abounding, and liberally supplied with His divine glory (i.e., character, nature, and power). How is this prayer realized and answered?

Our spirit is the only part of our being that can communicate with Elohim (God).  We cannot communicate with Him by our soul (mind, will, and emotions).  The connection is a spiritual, not natural, connection.  Our mind cannot comprehend the will of Elohim (God) or the word of Elohim (God).  It is in our spirit man that revelation and discernment occur.  So in this scripture, it’s referring to every part of our spirit being/man.  In other words, all of us need to be filled with the precise and correct knowledge of the ethical and glorious things of Elohim (God).

Your spirit man should be so filled with the knowledge of Elohim’s (God’s) will that is permeates, oozes, and overflows into every part of your being.  Thus, overshadowing your soul so that your spirit being is the largest entity, and so that you are operating primarily from your spirit being.  When you are filled in this way, people who encounter you are encountering the precise and correct knowledge of ethical and glorious things versus your soul (i.e., your knowledge and wisdom).  Remember the U diagram?

So, I pray:

Father, fill your leaders’ spirit, soul, and body with the knowledge of your will.  Infuse Your truth into them and usher them into repentance and  forgiveness for man-made ideologies and teachings.  Amen.

Resting gloriously in Him,

Karen sig-the making

Live In versus Pour On

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

Have you ever noticed the words in, on, and upon as it relates to the Ruach haKodesh (The Spirit of Holiness/God). The spirit of Elohim (God) comes on us, moves in and upon us. Now, the coming “on” and “upon” us is for a specific God-given task or assignment. The “in” us is what it requires to live in His glory. Let me illustrate. We’ve previously discussed how many are expecting Joel 2:28.This outpouring “on” could be only for one specific task or assignment or it could be only poured “on” one to dream a dream or see a vision or prophesy. What is happening with the power and glory manifestations of Holy Spirit the rest of the time in such an individual’s life? I don’t know about you, but I want to do more by the Ruach haKodesh (The Spirit of Holiness/God) than prophesy, dream, and see visions. I know Elohim (God) has so much more in store for us.

So, I’m suggesting we start expecting to live “in” His glory versus looking for and anticipating a “pouring on.” Just a gentle reminder, we have defined the glory of Elohim (God) as His character, nature, and power. That being said, one could experience a “pouring on” of oil or His spirit, being used mightily by Elohim (God), and yet still not reflect His nature and character. I’ve seen it time and time again. How about you?

Here is what the “living in” lifestyle looks like versus the “pouring on” lifestyle:

Everyday of my life (not on some random basis) the power, nature, and character of Elohim (God) flows through and is clearly visible in me. It is a lifestyle of miracles. Elohim (God) expects miracles to flow through His glorious vessels on a daily basis. Psalm 71:7a tells us we have become a wonder to many! So we are expected to become a wonder, not just work wonders.

The word wonder here is mowpheth pronounced mo•fāth’. This word in Hebrew means these three things:

1) wonder, sign, miracle, portent

2) wonder (as a special display of Elohim’s [God's] power)

3) sign, token (of future event)

This is what we have become provided we be still and let Him make us. Are you a sign, wonder, and special display of Elohim (God’s) power? Can you be described as a marvel, portent, or prodigy?

So which do you want . . . to live in His glory or experience a pouring upon of His spirit?

For further study and to define portent, go to Isaiah 8:18, Hebrews 2:13, Isaiah 20:3, Ezekiel 16:1,11, 24:24, 27.

Get Ready to Enter Into the Glory – Pt. II

Monday, October 19th, 2009

On Friday, I started preparing you for the suffering you can expect before you enter into the glory. I pray you are gleaning some of the “sign posts” that you are heading down the corridor of glory. To further prepare you, today I continue with Part II of Embracing The Glory Through Suffering.

I do ache, I feel like there are so few who love you like I do.
I want everybody to sacrifice their life for yours.
I want everybody to give up all to have and hold you.

Even though I can’t see the reward right now.
I still want everybody to suffer and sacrifice for this is the life of Christ.

Don’t be sad for me.
Don’t loathe me.
Don’t cry for me.
My attitude is: What suffering?
I consider the sufferings of this life are not worthy of being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and through us and conferred on us.

Confer your glory on me.
Confer your glory on us.
Reveal your glory to us and through us, oh Lord
Reveal your glory to me and through me, oh Lord.

Ministry is a part of my suffering.
I used to love ministry.
Now, I have to ask God to help me not to hate it
and to embrace the suffering that comes with this ministry.
Because if I embrace the suffering, I embrace the glory.
I embrace the glory through what I suffer.

You see, it is in my suffering I realize glorious writings like these.
It is in my suffering, I see Him high and lifted up above my circumstances
with His train filling the room.

It is my suffering that drives me to Him for answers, revelation, and wisdom.
No matter how frustrated or mad I am.
He is faithful.
He always answers me.

As sure as it will snow in the winter in the Northeast, as sure as He is faithful.
He is a Rock. A faithful steady Rock, no matter how tumultuous the waters are.
No matter how hard the water and storms beat against the rock. He is steady.
My rock is steady and faithful – enduring, strong.
He is my rock and my strong tower, my fortress, my salvation.

Lord, you said all creation and nature waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known. Creation waits for the revealing and disclosing of Sonship. Lord make me known as your son. Fulfill the earnest expectant longing of your creation.

Help me oh, Lord to wait with patience and composure for what I’m hoping. I’m hoping for so much in this life and the life to come. Help me, Holy Spirit to wait with patience and composure for what I’m hoping for!

I can be assured that God being a partner in my labor (praying via Holy Spirit according to and in harmony with His will) all things work together and (are fitting into a plan) for good to and for me because I love God, and I’m called according to His design and purpose.

The scriptures which prompted my heart’s cry are below:

Romans 8:17 AMP
And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.

Psalm 119:49 AMP
Remember [fervently] the word and promise to Your servant, in which You have caused me to hope.

Resting gloriously in Him,
