Are you resting gloriously? – Part I

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 KJV

You may have noticed I sign each and every post with resting gloriously. Are you resting gloriously? To help you answer that question, we look to our definition of glory. We defined glory as the power, character, and nature of God.

Is God stressed? How about worried? Is He overweight? Does His arm of deliverance fail? Is He weak, tired, frustrated? Get the picture? None of these ring true for our mighty God and, therefore, if we are resting gloriously, none of these would ring true for us either.

Pick one attribute in your life that keeps you from resting gloriously. Got it? Okay, great! Now, repent, acknowledge that it is not pleasing to God, seek forgiveness and ask Holy Spirit to loose you from that stronghold, and to fill the area where you weren’t resting with His peace, comfort, and healing grace. Now, go forth in the glorious rest He has given you.

Resting gloriously in Him,
