It's very easy to self promote, especially when you get prophetic insight/discernment, etc. on people and their situations (i.e. you have the ability to read their mail). It's very easy in those times to take the focus off of God and put it on ourselves. But one thing I have noticed is that when I've done that in the past it was in large part due to my own insecurity in who I am in God. I thank God for bringing me through the process (not done yet) where His opinion of me is the most important thing. I have been guilty of self promotion.
