Release the Worry, Embrace the Glory

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

When you are actively involved in ministry, there is always something to do and I do mean always.  You have to constantly resist the temptation to become so busy that you are no longer ministering to Elohim (God) in prayer, communion, fellowship, and worship.  The other temptation that you must resist is the temptation to worry that everything that needs to get done won’t get done.  This is a trick of the enemy to keep you caught up toiling, spinning, running, and wishing for more time.  Do you know how much precious God given energy you waste worrying about not having enough time to complete God’s work.  If it’s His work, He knows how much time you need to get it done.  And if you didn’t have such time, He wouldn’t have charged you to do it.  So today, release the worry and embrace the glory.  If the release was successful, lightness should be present in your midst right now, not only that, but propelling you forward with new strength and a new resolve to rest in Him versus strive to get things done on human terms.  His glory is here to aid and assist us in completing the work He’s assigned our hands. Stop fighting and warring against it and embrace it wholeheartedly.  Repeat after Holy Spirit through me, “I rest in the fact there is enough time for me to do everything You’ve called me to do.”

31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

33 But seek aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. – Matthew 6:31-34 AMP

Holy Glory – Part II

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Welcome back!  By now you know we should go beyond a “glow,” into a terrible brilliance.  So, today we explore what terrible and holy glory looks like on us.  My body is separated for your service LORD so I make glorious choices in determining what I eat (1 Corinthians 10:31).  My eyes are consecrated for your service, LORD so I watch what I set before them (Psalm 101:3).  My mind is made up and set apart for your service, LORD so I renew it daily with Your word (Psalm 26).  My heart is for You and Your service and I will connect it to those who have Your eternal life flowing from their heart (Proverbs 4:23).

I could go on and on as these are just some of the things He requires of me in each area of my temple.  How about you . . . what is He requiring of your body, eyes, mind, and heart?  This is what you must identify and get clear about in order to lay hold of the prize called holy glory.  If you aren’t specifically clear, it sounds like you’ve got a homework assignment, mentee.  One resource I know will jumpstart this is to pick up The Making if you haven’t already.  If you have, ask Him to lead you to the exact area that needs clarifying by directing you to the specific page(s) or chapter(s) in the book.  In closing, holy glory is terrible brilliance.

Scriptures to meditate upon that can user you to Holy Glory:  Ecclesiastes 8:12-13, Deuteronomy 7:21, Exodus 14:31, Leviticus 19:14, 32, 25:17, Proverbs 3:7, Psalm 27:1, 66:3,5, Isaiah 60:5

Glorious Conversation – Part I

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31 AMP

I have an awesome sister I’m in covenant relationship with who answers her phone, “to YAH (short for Yahweh) be the glory.” When she answers the phone this way, it sets the tone for the rest of the conversation. What she is really saying is, “Let everything that is said, done, and discussed be for Yahweh’s (God’s) glory.” What do you need to pray or say (audibly or inaudibly) before your phone conversations to ensure it is a glorious conversation?

Resting gloriously in Him,

Light me up, Lord!

Monday, November 30th, 2009

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light: and there was light.”– Genesis 1:1-3 KJV

Let me show you what God told me when I looked at this scripture today. In the beginning I created the heaven (the supernatural) and the earth (the natural/fleshy), and the earth (your earth) was without form, it was missing something, and it was dark. This wasn’t just any ole kind of darkness, this was a deep darkness (replete of light). So much so that it showed upon the face of the earth (your earth, your face, your flesh). Then I moved upon your face. By My Spirit I supernaturally caused light to shine upon your face. I speak today and I say again,”Let there be light. So much light that it dispels every form of darkness within the earth (your earth) that it may ultimately be a well-lit path for those in the earth.”
