The Heart of Loving Glory

Friday, September 10th, 2010

You may or may not be aware that this blog focuses on the glory of Yahweh defined primarily as His character and nature.  Reason being, what good is wisdom, deep revelation, and the ability to expound on heavenlies mysteries and yet possess unGod-like shallow character?  Many of us look to 1 Corinthians 13 as a measuring element of how loving we are and many of us disqualify merely by the bolded portion in the below verse:

It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. – 1 Corinthians 13:5

I’m guilty of seeking my own way with God and others.  Forgive me, oh LORD; wash me.  Help me Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) to please Yahweh in this way.  We should be seeking Yahweh’s way, not our own way in every situation, interaction, and relationship.  This is the heart of loving glory for others as well as how we demonstrate our loving commitment to deny ourselves, take up our cross, follow Yahshua, and become true disciples and sons.

Grace and glory,

Provoking & Defying Glory

Friday, August 13th, 2010

8For Jerusalem is ruined and Judah is fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of His glory and defy His glorious presence.

9Their respecting of persons and showing of partiality witnesses against them; they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! For they have brought evil [as a reward upon themselves].

10Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their deeds.

11Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with them, for what their hands have done shall be done to them. - Isaiah 3:8-11 AMP

There are professing ministers of the gospel who deceive themselves and others about Yahweh’s glorious presence abiding and dwelling and moving amongst them.  As the scriptures shows their actions (and speech) are against Yahweh.  Of course, it’s not the actions and speech that we see that matters, but what Yahweh sees with His eyes, and what He sees them doing and saying is provoking His glory and defying His glory, not reverencing, but irritating His glory.  So, then how could His glory be dwelling, abiding, and moving in their midst?

Embracing glory,

Karen sig-the making

Release the Worry, Embrace the Glory

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

When you are actively involved in ministry, there is always something to do and I do mean always.  You have to constantly resist the temptation to become so busy that you are no longer ministering to Elohim (God) in prayer, communion, fellowship, and worship.  The other temptation that you must resist is the temptation to worry that everything that needs to get done won’t get done.  This is a trick of the enemy to keep you caught up toiling, spinning, running, and wishing for more time.  Do you know how much precious God given energy you waste worrying about not having enough time to complete God’s work.  If it’s His work, He knows how much time you need to get it done.  And if you didn’t have such time, He wouldn’t have charged you to do it.  So today, release the worry and embrace the glory.  If the release was successful, lightness should be present in your midst right now, not only that, but propelling you forward with new strength and a new resolve to rest in Him versus strive to get things done on human terms.  His glory is here to aid and assist us in completing the work He’s assigned our hands. Stop fighting and warring against it and embrace it wholeheartedly.  Repeat after Holy Spirit through me, “I rest in the fact there is enough time for me to do everything You’ve called me to do.”

31 Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?

32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.

33 But seek aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.

34 So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. – Matthew 6:31-34 AMP

Forgiving Glory

Monday, August 9th, 2010

I have never seen such an unforgiving people as those in the professing church.  They hold grudges and keep detailed accounts and records of all the wrong done to them in ministry.  I know you’ve seen this too.  Talk about false glory, huh?  Where is the forgiving glory spoken of in Matthew 18:23-35?

We are to freely forgive our brothers and sisters from our heart when they sin against us. I need to make two clarifying points here.  The first is this:  Your sisters and brothers are defined as those who do the will of Your Father.  Don’t get mad at me, I’m telling you what Yeshua said.  The second is this.  The scripture in Matthew 18 didn’t say forgive your brother if they ask for it from the heart with great sincerity, repentance, and with tears in their eyes.  No, the scripture doesn’t put all those vain glorious conditions on the truth of forgiving glory.  Do you want Elohim (God) to remove your sins as far as the east is from the west and cast them into the sea of forgetfulness never to remembered anymore or do you want Him to torture you by keeping records, files, and detailed accounts of your wrongs?  Of course you don’t. Then don’t do it to others!  Who do you need to forgive today and who needs your forgiveness?  You see, forgiving glory is a two-fold glory.  When you forgive, your spirit and the spirit of the other person is set free to flow in true glory.  I pray Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) has brought before you the person(s) that you need to forgive and that needs your forgiveness.  If so, okay now, let’s pray immediately:

ABBA Father, I lift up the situation with the person(s) that Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance as I read this post and I pray that Your forgiving glory will flow through me like a mighty river of fire and water.  Cleansing me from all the thoughts I have toward them and that they may toward me.  I thank you for this river of fire and water that is running over us and between us right now in the realm of the Spirit washing us from all unforgiveness, bitterness, seeds of discord, jealousy, envy, hatred, manipulation, agendas, game playing, and every work of the flesh that should not be named once amongst us.   I thank You that the current of this powerful river has propelled us into the place where we are now free to flow in the truth of Your glory.  We thank You that the accounts, records, and files have been moved by the current of this river as far as the east is from the west never to be remembered anymore by either of us or by You.

We ask you to forgive us, oh Lord for dwelling in the place of unforgiveness as long as we did and for your grace and mercy that did not spit us out of your mouth and wash us ashore.  Thank You, thank You.  Thank You that there is no more hurt and pain that comes up or when we think of them.  We thank you that there are no more word curses in our mouth concerning them.   The work You’ve done is thorough, and we receive your forgiving glory.  Help us to live this way each and every day of our lives being quick to forgive and slow to anger and offense like You. Thank You for Your cleanliness, holiness, and forgiveness and righteousness.

Responding to forgiving glory,

Karen sig-the making

False Glory – Part II

Friday, August 6th, 2010

We continue to pull back the covers on false glory. Have you read or listened to something a minister wrote or spoke and immediately afterward or during the message/writing you start feeling like, “Are they talking about me?” or you think, “Hmm . . .  that feels like a dig aimed t me to kick me down a couple of notches in my Godly confidence.”  If so, what you are discerning (perhaps unknowingly) is a characteristic of false glory.  This characteristic can be found in the below scripture:

We have renounced disgraceful ways (secret thoughts, feelings, desires and underhandedness, the methods and arts that men hide through shame); we refuse to deal craftily (to practice trickery and cunning) or to adulterate or handle dishonestly the Word of God, but we state the truth openly (clearly and candidly). And so we commend ourselves in the sight and presence of God to every man’s conscience. – 2 Corinthians 4:2 AMP

When you handle the Word of God deceitfully or craftily, the Word is mixed with an ulterior motive, another agenda, manipulation, witchcraft (defined as an attempt to bend or twist the will of another via cunning mental stratagem).  You see, truth is coming forth as it’s the Word which is true glory, but the spirit behind the Word is false glory.  It’s the antithesis of John 4:24; worship in Spirit and Truth.  Our spirit must be pure, holy as His Word emanates from us or else all we are releasing is a false glory that entangles others in more bondage versus set them free.   I pray this characteristic of false glory be far from you, mentee as you go forth to do His work.  I also pray that this post exercised your spiritual senses (e.g., discernment – Hebrews 5:14) even the more as we must start calling false glory, false glory and not backing up off or down to what we are seeing and discerning.

Responding to true glory,

P.S. – Another classic example of this is using the pulpit to address something that should have Matthew 18:15-17 applied to the matter.

Get Under the Cloud!

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Moses entered into the midst of the cloud and went up the mountain . . . Exodus 24:18 AMP

For the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys. – Exodus 40:38

The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people. – Exodus 13:22 AMP

Under the cloud there is:

  • Protection
  • Provision
  • Prosperity
  • Health
  • Wellness
  • Peace
  • Prayer
  • Obedience
  • And so much more . . .

Are you under the cloud?  If you are experiencing these bulleted items, you can answer affirmatively.  Now, I’m not talking about an occasional manifestation of the above (e.g., prosperity).  That which I see is a consistent stream of glory (i.e., a flow if you will).  Well, this is a call to come into that place.  Get under the cloud!  If you need help getting here, reach out to me.

And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are in the midst of this people [of Israel], that You, Lord, are seen face to face, and that Your cloud stands over them, and that You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.  - Numbers 14:14 AMP

Captivated by glory,

Holy Glory – Part II

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

Welcome back!  By now you know we should go beyond a “glow,” into a terrible brilliance.  So, today we explore what terrible and holy glory looks like on us.  My body is separated for your service LORD so I make glorious choices in determining what I eat (1 Corinthians 10:31).  My eyes are consecrated for your service, LORD so I watch what I set before them (Psalm 101:3).  My mind is made up and set apart for your service, LORD so I renew it daily with Your word (Psalm 26).  My heart is for You and Your service and I will connect it to those who have Your eternal life flowing from their heart (Proverbs 4:23).

I could go on and on as these are just some of the things He requires of me in each area of my temple.  How about you . . . what is He requiring of your body, eyes, mind, and heart?  This is what you must identify and get clear about in order to lay hold of the prize called holy glory.  If you aren’t specifically clear, it sounds like you’ve got a homework assignment, mentee.  One resource I know will jumpstart this is to pick up The Making if you haven’t already.  If you have, ask Him to lead you to the exact area that needs clarifying by directing you to the specific page(s) or chapter(s) in the book.  In closing, holy glory is terrible brilliance.

Scriptures to meditate upon that can user you to Holy Glory:  Ecclesiastes 8:12-13, Deuteronomy 7:21, Exodus 14:31, Leviticus 19:14, 32, 25:17, Proverbs 3:7, Psalm 27:1, 66:3,5, Isaiah 60:5

From glory to glory,

Ascending

Friday, July 16th, 2010

So all of us, with faces unveiled, see as in a mirror the glory of the Lord; and we are being changed into his very image, from one degree of glory to the next, by ADONAI the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 CJB

Mentee, there is only one way to ascend into the glory of God and that’s to obey. It’s your obedience and my obedience that cause us to ascend into glorious places that God desires to take us. So if it looks like things are stagnant, ask what am I not obeying, God? When He gives you the answer, do it. It’s so easy to make excuses over time for why we either can’t, don’t, or just won’t do what He commanded us to do. We say things like, “He knows where I am right now” and “He sees everything I’m going through.” While this is true, it doesn’t make you or I exempt from our obedience to the things He’s told us to do.  Are you ascending or descending? Always check your obedience levels for the answer. Today, I am ascending.

From faith to faith,

Not for your glory!

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

I see so many ministers accept ministry engagements to show boat, boast, and parade their “flesh” around.  Truly, they are in it for their glory, but the ADONAI (the LORD) is nowhere in the midst.  I bring a prophetic announcement today:  This should not be your posture, mentee.  Your posture should be, “I thank you, LORD for sending me/us on this ministry assignment.  I thank you that this trip will not be for our glory, but for Your glory and honor.  Use me as your vessel set aside for noble purposes.  Show Yourself, Your power, and Your majesty through me.  Amen.”  Mentee, ministry is not for your glory, it’s for His (Judges 4:9)!

Focused on His glory,

The enemy of the glory

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.] – Romans 7:18 AMP

For I know that there is nothing good housed inside me – that is, inside my old nature. I can want what is good, but I can’t do it! – Romans 7:18 CJB

You are your biggest enemy to living in the glory of God.  The scripture tells us there is no good thing in our flesh and yet another familiar scripture also tells us that the flesh is at enmity with the Spirit.  So then why do we pacify and give in to its every whim? You must view your flesh as your enemy.  It isn’t interested in you following Holy Spirit. Is isn’t interested in you demonstrating God’s character, love, or power, and it will attempt to stop you or keep you stuck time and time again.  It is the #1 enemy of the glory!

Responding to His glory,

Karen sig-the making
