Glory Distractions, Guarding the Glory – Part II

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. – 1 Corinthians 10:23

Yesterday, we discussed reaching the place of habituating in God’s glorious embrace. Once you reach this place, you have to guard it from busyness. The enemies of this place are: Your mind, will, emotions (e.g., your flesh), other folks’ flesh, the world, your job, school, routine tasks around the house, running errands, driving your teenager here there and everywhere, the telephone, the Internet, not to mention ministry demands. You get the picture, right?! This is a place you have to sacrifice to stay in. You’ll have to get like your God and jealously protect it. You’ll have to set some boundaries to stay in it. There is help. Ask Holy Spirit to help you push past the distractions to Him. Delegate what you can. Remember Moses’ and Jethro’s conversation?!

If you are going to live in the glory, you’re going to have to want it so bad that you focus on it right on pass every distraction and the enemy, for they will come. This post is to awaken you to the fact that you have acquired an aspect of God . . . something precious, holy, sacred, royal, true, genuine, powerful, and you must GUARD IT from the robber called busyness.

Resting gloriously in Him,
