Mentee, I’m learning that money and food have ensnared many a leader, including myself at a point in time. When I wondered and inquired of Yahweh, He revealed this: Both are appetites that need to be under the control of His Spirit.
If you and I were to take a look around the body we’d see a lot of leaders unsubmitted in these two areas of their lives. I’ve come to know through firsthand experience that it is one of the most stubborn areas of our flesh. When you don’t have a revelation on the purpose of money or food, you’ll abuse, misuse, and eventually lose everything and find yourself on the road to destruction (Proverbs 23:21).
Beloved, our appetites can never be satisfied (Eccl 4:8, 6:7), which is why we must depend on Him to be our bread and meat and the sole source of satisfaction and joy. He’s blessed us with richness (Proverbs 8:18, 10:22, Isaiah 45:3, Romans 11:33, 2 Cor 6:10, Ephesians 1:7, 2:7,3:8, 3:19). Any leader who is seeking His glory will be tested and tempted by money and food. These trials and tests are common to all; the issue is will you submit your greed for food and riches to Him? If so, you’re headed straight for His glory. If not, you’ll find yourself spinning y our wheels chasing things that don’t truly satisfy.
Father, I lift up all of your leadership today praying they come into a revelation and deep understanding about Your purpose for money and food. May they surrender the false appetite for what they see for a true appetite for Your true riches that are seen, recognized, and realized by those with spiritual eyes/ears. Loose them from the snare on their soul to lust after, crave, and seek money and/or food. Bring them into the place where their meat is to do Your will. Quench and satisfy every longing that is pure by Your Spirit. Ruach HaKodesh, stir them to find comfort in Your and You alone. May Your embrace satisfying more than the allusion of the warmth and safety of food and money. Lift them beyond reliance on the natural into reliance on the supernatural fruit that brings richness, joy, and peace. I thank you for destroying false kingdoms they’ve built and for erecting Your true Kingdom in them, and we know that all things will be added according to Your word, will, and way. Protect their eye gate from the realm which stimulates their senses to develop an unnatural and ungodly longing, craving, and desire for money and food.

Two times this week alone I’ve encountered several ministers of the gospel who were articulating how they know there is more than what they have been experiencing. In prayer Yahweh, responded by saying, “It’s building can you sense it? Can you hear through others who are tired of same ole same ole and who are articulating their hunger for My power, My glory to manifest through them? He’s aligning His glorious army. He’s making them ready. We are starting to groan right along with the rest of creation. ABBA is saying, Yes! This is where I long for you be and stay. Can you hear the groaning and the hunger pangs? The manifestation of His glory is near . . . on a larger scale, not just a small group of one here or there, but as an entire body of ready-made vessels. Because not everyone that’s groaning and hungering is going to see His glory manifested through them. They might see it (and it’s going to be undeniably hard not to), but it won’t be through them. Are you one in this glorious ready-made army?”
We know that until now, the whole creation has been groaning as with the pains of childbirth; – Romans 8:22 CJB

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. – Mark 16:17-18 KJV
Welcome back! By now you know we should go beyond a “glow,” into a terrible brilliance. So, today we explore what terrible and holy glory looks like on us. My body is separated for your service LORD so I make glorious choices in determining what I eat (1 Corinthians 10:31). My eyes are consecrated for your service, LORD so I watch what I set before them (Psalm 101:3). My mind is made up and set apart for your service, LORD so I renew it daily with Your word (Psalm 26). My heart is for You and Your service and I will connect it to those who have Your eternal life flowing from their heart (Proverbs 4:23).
I could go on and on as these are just some of the things He requires of me in each area of my temple. How about you . . . what is He requiring of your body, eyes, mind, and heart? This is what you must identify and get clear about in order to lay hold of the prize called holy glory. If you aren’t specifically clear, it sounds like you’ve got a homework assignment, mentee. If you’re allowing Holy Spirit to mentor you via this blog, you know the pursuit of glory is about manifesting God’s character in every area of your life (i.e., ministry, business home, job, etc.) This is a process which The Making outlines in greater detail. You don’t get here overnight. Many of us start out believing in our inheritance as it relates to the glory and midway through the perfecting part, we start getting anxious. We start thinking or asking, “Where’s my inheritance?” We start looking for prophecies relating to our glorious inheritance to come to pass. I’m here today to tell you what God told me the holdup is. When you are mature, your inheritance will be released. When you are ready (e.g., fully mature) with Christ fully formed, developed, and seen, He’ll release the intended glory, miracles, signs, wonders, etc.
If a natural parent does not give their children access to their inheritance until the right age, what makes us think God is going to release ours any soon than the fullness of time? Keep your focus on the perfecting process and before you know it, your inheritance will manifest!
Who will transform {and} fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to {and} be like the body of His glory {and} majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself? – Philippians 3:21 Minister of God, will you be the body of His glory? This is what I hear Him asking you today. Wait don’t be so quick to answer. It will require transformation, fashioning anew, humiliation, conformity, and by exerting all His power within.
