Posts Tagged ‘fitness’Who told you how you should look and what size you should be?Monday, August 15th, 2011So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31 AMP Yesterday, you commanded your appestat to function normally, and you commanded our flesh to return to the exact size Yahweh intends. Have you ever asked Yahweh what size He intended you to be? Then go ahead and ask Him instead of turning to some chart that lists ideal sizes by height and weight. When I asked Him this question, He revealed that He made me a perfect size 8 from head to toe. Truly, this rattled me because my shoe size is an 8. So what He’s saying to me and through me is that our shoe size is indicative of our ideal size according to him. I pray you explore this for yourself with Him. In the interim, think back to when the thoughts in your mind starting shifting to a “larger you.” I can pinpoint exactly when it happened for me. I was in high school and needless to say, I was quite thin. My peers and associates started making comments about my thinness and frankly my flat butt. You see, this is right around the time when flaunting your voluptuous rear end in your designer jeans became the in thing to do. This planted a negative seed and even cursed my thoughts about my weight and shape. The next thing a stronghold was erected and I invited in a host of ungodly and unclean demons that caused me to try to “get a butt” and gain some weight. I ate, ate, and ate some more, and before long I was fat, but I still didn’t have a voluptuous rear end. A fatter version of a flat rear end, yes . . . voluptuous, no! For my glorious appetite to spring forth, I have to uproot, cast down, and out this greed, glutton, and unsatisfaction with how He created me. With His help and grace, I’ve done exactly that, taken dominion and authority over my appestat organ, and shaped and enhanced what He gave me via squats and various other lower body exercises. I’m walking in His counsel about how I should look and what size I should be, and my prayer is that you will too! It’s glorious, beloved. With glorious service,

Make Glorious Choices!Wednesday, May 12th, 2010Ministering mentees, I come to mentor you today in the fact that in order for the glory of God to manifest itself in you and through you, you must make glorious choices. Today, I became famished and was short on time. I wanted a tuna sandwich from Panera Bread. Before I jumped in the car and headed there, I carved out a few moments to go online and check out the nutritional facts on this sandwich. Lo and behold, this sandwich is 750 calories, contains 1130 mg. sodium, and 13 grams of sugar. So even though it is very high in protein, calcium, and iron, the sodium, sugar, and calories brought me to a screeching halt. I knew I needed to re-think my strategy. I’ll defer that tuna sandwich for when I can make it at home and be in control of the ingredients. So, I headed straight to Duchess for a chicken garden salad filled with fresh greens, carrots, green peppers, red onions, and a homemade cucumber dressing. As I sat in the car, I had a chance to change my mind when the $5 special (i.e., big ole hamburger and fries) sign became larger than life. As I steered away by the power of Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit), I heard Him say, “Make Glorious Choices!” and then one of my banner scriptures (1 Corinthians 10:31) for eating well came up for me. Minister, we cannot eat and drink what we want and expect the glory of God to manifest in us and through us. Either He is living in us daily or He’s not. He chooses to dwell in vessels who make decisions that bring Him glory. So the next time you make what may seem the simplest decision (e.g., what to eat), make a glorious choice! Resting in His glory,

Would Elohim (God) eat whatever, whenever? I know we stayed on this topic for almost an entire week, but it was worth every minute if it ushers you into greater well being and care for your temple. Before we close out, I want to remind you that I have a resource to help you continue on your journey to eating and drinking for Elohim’s (God’s) glory. Go here to continue the journey. All Fit For His Glory – Part IIThursday, November 19th, 2009So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God. – 1 Corinthians 10:31 AMP Do you have a bishop’s belly? So many ministers take no care in what or when they eat/drink. I’m not even going to address the cigarette smoking or liquor drinking pastors in this post. We all know that type of behavior brings no honor or glory to Elohim (God). We have assignments to complete in this earth realm. If our body (the outward container that Elohim [God] gave us), gives out due to our abuse, how will we complete what He called us to do? I am amazed by the number of ministers who Elohim (God) used in the area of healing that died from some sort of sickness or disease due to improper eating or rest. If you have not committed your body as a living sacrifice yet, do so now. If you can’t do it for yourself, I appeal to the glory upon your life and say, “Do it for those who He’s assigned your hands.” They are waiting for you to rise up in total wellness and health and set them free in the areas they have been led captive. Tomorrow we will continue mentoring you in eating and drinking for His glory. Resting gloriously in Him,
