College?

Wednesday, December 14th, 2011

There’s so much pressure nowadays to send your children to college, and the world doesn’t have a problem showing you how to go into debt to send them there. Keeping in the vein of glorious child rearing, you should only send your children to college because:

What Yahweh has called them to do requires a specific education. A prime example is our oldest daughter, Dionna (pronounced De’Anna) who He’s called to invent the cures to various diseases. We know it’s Him who is going to supernaturally do this through her. At the same time, He impressed the field of epidemiology on her heart to study to aid what He’ll do through her. So, see after prayer and confirmation, she’s in college as what He’s called her to do requires it (Phil 4:13, 19, Ephesians 1:3, 3:20-21).

You’re not going into debt for it. I’m a strong proponent of believing Him to provide supernaturally for college versus spending thousands of dollars for education in the form of student loans. Why wouldn’t He provide for the education He requires you to receive to fulfill what He put you here for? Don’t fall into the trap. There are tons of scholarships out there. By the way, if He leads you in the direction of student loans, then trust He’ll bring you the increase to pay them off. Just don’t make debt your automatic or immediate course of action without exploring scholarships (Proverbs 22:7).

As you may or may not know, there are tons of business owners, entrepreneurs, and millionaires who didn’t complete college and don’t have degrees. Even the world’s own are starting to see the lie “go to college and get a degree in order to be successful” starting to crumble. Right now, we have people with Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees who can’t find a “successful job.” As children of Yahweh, we really need to seek Him concerning our children’s’ purpose. If He requires college for that purpose and impressed upon your heart that He’s providing for it, then college is the direction. Who knows, you might have an upcoming entrepreneur right under your wing, business leader. So, don’t neglect your gift, and college is optional not mandatory! By the way, in case you’re curious, yes, I possess a college education.

One more thing, if college is His choice prayerfully consider online education, which drastically reduces the costs and the children get to stay in the glory setting you’ve labored to create in your home environment.

Joy-filled wisdom,

Souled Out!

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

One day I was riding in the car and I turned on a local radio station.  I rarely listen to the radio, but this day I was impressed of the Lord to turn it on.  As soon as I did, I heard the popular single by Pastor Hezekiah Walker, Souled Out.  The Lord spoke to me and said, “Are you really souled out?”  In other words, are you tired of yielding to every whim, whisper, and thought of your mind, will emotions, and intellect?  If you are heading down the corridor of glory, pray this prayer with me:

Bid me to come unto You, O King, My Lord. Summon me. I wait. All be still and quiet. God is in His holy temple. Light the wick in the lampstands. Prepare for Him. Send help, holy help from Your holy temple, O Lord, to enable us to stay on the path and stay in the corridor of glory.

Behold even the moon has no brightness compared to Your glory! – Job 25:5 KJV

Your glory, Lord, is beyond comparison. I have nothing in my point of reference to compare or contrast it with. Every time I think I have a grasp on what Your glory really is, it’s so much more. Your glory is a topic that is inexhaustible. It cannot be studied or contained or enveloped in my finite mind. It takes Your infinite wisdom to unfold the waves, facets, dimensions, and mysteries of Your glory. One magnificent way you’ve shown me Your glory is through Your Son, Jesus.

I stand and marvel as I see Him on the mount of transfiguration shining so brightly. Your glory will light up the New Jerusalem. Yes Lord, Your glory is brighter than the moon. No natural light or sunlight is needed.

Envelope me in Your glory. Envelope me. Wrap Your glory around me like a blanket or a well-worn garment. Suffocate me in Your glory until I die the death You require of my flesh. You see, I need Your glory. I hunger for Your glory. Your glory is ever on my mind. I think about it all the time.

Thank you, Master for making me entirely souled out!

Resting gloriously in Him,
