The Making Ministry Blog (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP)

You know I see so many ministers put the most trivial things before a passionate pursuit of the life that’s hid with Christ. They are so easily distracted by celebrations, events, and the world’s trappings. Truly, they are more Western than they are ministers.

Your New Moon festivals and your [hypocritical] appointed feasts My soul hates. They are an oppressive burden to Me; I am weary of bearing them. – Isaiah 1:14 AMP

So many of them live like mere ordinary men. They are temporal, seasonal, and lukewarm at best in their relationship with Yahweh. Summer time rolls around and all of sudden they are MIA (missing in action) for prayer, fasting, and more consecration/sanctification. They celebrate pagan holidays like mere mortal men, acting like they haven’t been entrusted with the responsibility to search out the truths and revelation in scripture that in turn delivers them and those assigned their hands.

For as I passed along and carefully observed your objects of worship, I came also upon an altar with this inscription, To the unknown god. Now what you are already worshiping as unknown, this I set forth to you. – Acts 17:23 AMP

This scripture is a perfect depiction of their worship. They worship what they know not. They are not intimately acquainted with Him, His ways, or His word. My prayer is that the fire of Yahweh burns in you so much that you aggressively seek the fullness and the riches of the life that awaits you in Christ. Beloved mentee, there is more glory to be unharnessed, unleashed, revealed, and discovered. It is time to take your life Christ gave you seriously; play time is over!

Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages). Do not be carried about by different and varied and alien teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established and ennobled and strengthened by means of grace (God’s favor and spiritual blessing). – Hebrews 13:8-9a

Yesterday, we laid the foundation by allowing Yahweh to examine the statement, “The message remains the same, but the methods must change.” Through me, He demonstrated that when we rely solely on human, technological, or any other method to spread the gospel, we deny the reality of ascending, supernatural power. Ascenders, today we continue. So is the message still the same? No, it isn’t! The message we send when we rely on human strength, man’s philosophies, ideas, formulas, and marketing strategies is that there is no supernatural. Our posture conveys: “If this ministry is going to grow, I need to do x or y.” Whose ministry is this, and who is truly responsible for its growth? Beloved, the message we carry is one of power, love, and a sound mind manifesting the supernatural power of the Kingdom. The gospel is not about us being seen or known. We are to spread His fame by manifesting supernatural healing, deliverance, signs, and wonders. How can you do this if you are off stuck somewhere in self-promotion marketing land?

The gospel message is about dying to self, self-sacrifice (i.e., placing yourself, life, dreams, wishes, hopes, and plans on the altar so they can die), and denying yourself. When we become absorbed in the top 10 strategies to grow our church or ministry, the message we preach by our actions, without giving it a title or three points, is a powerless, compromised, weak, and impotent gospel. Did you think the only time you preach a message is in a formal setting behind a pulpit? Your life and actions preach louder and the impact is greater and deeper!

So yes not only have the methods changed, but the message has been altered, changed, and tampered with as well. My prayer is that the spirit of revelation overtake you enabling you to see this trap clearly and vividly. If you have fallen into this trap, by His Spirit on this post, I snatch you from the grips of deception, and spur you on to ascend into the reality of the supernatural power available to you through your faithful obedience and strict adherence to the One and only true gospel of Yahushua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ).

You’ve heard me say this before and it’s powerful to repeat it.  There is no glory without specific obedience.  You can’t access the glory of Yahweh if you are unwilling or even hindered from obeying Him.  When the enemy can’t outright stop you because your heart is fixed and your mind is made up about obeying Yahweh, He’ll use someone else.  You see anyone around you who is available to him by being unsurrendered to Yahweh is prey.  Your assignment mentee is this:  Think about whom in your life lives primarily from flesh versus Spirit.  Now you’ve identified the targets of Satan’s ploys.

As you may or may not know, I’m wrapping up the completion of my MEd in Global Leadership and Administration. With God’s grace and wisdom, I’m an A student, and my grade point average is 4.0. The last requirement in order to be granted the degree is to create a report that serves as an oral examination of the demonstration of how you’ve mastered proficiency in each learning outcome area.

I submitted my first draft of this report last week, and one of the students had a very interesting reply. She said, “Holy cow, what an elaborate report. I never thought to do something with so much detail. This isn’t what I’d planned to do. I better cancel some appointments this week and get my tush in gear.

Let me teach you how to deal with people who want your A’s (i.e., grades, grace, anointing, ministry, or whatever blessings He bestows on you). You must know that many who profess Christ want what He has, but aren’t willing to do what it takes to receive it. You see, they want the results they see you receiving but don’t want to do what it requires to get them. Beloved mentee, this isn’t new. Many people have neglected to follow Yahweh’s pattern and still expect the results of His glory, honor, majesty, and blessing.

I end this post by sharing my reply to her:

“Listen, no need to feel compelled to compare what you plan to do to demonstrate your mastery and proficiency in your competency report with what I’ve done. Remember, this is your “take” on what you’ve learned and experienced and should be as unique as your learning experience has been. This is how I’ve creatively interpreted my learning experience. Anyway, I’m tickled to see that I’ve inspired you to clear your calendar and get your tush in gear. I’m confident that you’ll do excellently on your report!”

I look forward to continue mentoring you in how to guard the glory and deal with false imitators tomorrow.

Mentee,

There are so many ways you can compromise the glory of Yahweh, and I’m led them share it in this light. Anything and every thing you do that is not in direct obedience to the will, word, and timing of Yahweh comprises His glory. Remember what I always teach you, there is no glory without specific obedience. There are so many ministers who think they operating from the Kingdom of heaven when truly they have deceived themselves and others and are not. There is no access into the glorious Kingdom of heaven through compromise, disobedience, and flesh. Period!

So as you go about doing the work He’s assigned your hands while it yet day (the night is coming), follow His Spirit, voice, and timing (Galatians 5:25).

Yesterday you discovered that wisdom brings honor, glory, and riches. If you read around the Bible verses provided, you may have also discovered that when you exalt wisdom (i.e., place it first, make it your highest priority and the principal asset in your life and ministry), it will promote and exalt you! Today, I come to let you know that there are no hindrances in your life when you embrace wisdom. So if you or one of your friends in ministry is hindered, stuck, or keeps stumbling, you and they haven’t fully embraced or acquired wisdom. Look at what the word says:

I have taught you in the way of skillful and godly Wisdom [which is comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God]; I have led you in paths of uprightness.

When you walk, your steps shall not be hampered [your path will be clear and open]; and when you run, you shall not stumble. – Proverbs 4:11-12 AMP

Remember mentee, wisdom protects so crave it, seek it, and once you find it, take it with you!

Mentee, until you master this area of making, don’t look for relationships! There are two more realizations of Yahshua that we must come into as leaders. The first is He considers family those who do the will of His father. The second is when He takes over the lives of His disciples it causes division and separation from biological family, friends, and people in general who aren’t willing to do what it takes to be a disciple. So the next time you start looking around outside of yourself to connect with some great noun (i.e., person, place, or thing) or to explore a relationship with another individual, ask yourself, “Are they doing the will of the Father? Is the will of my ABBA their priority? Are they considered a part of His royal family?” I am not saying don’t be open to meeting friends and family (i.e., spiritual family) in ministry. I’m saying they can be as polite and cordial or as rude and rejecting as they come, either way rest in the fact that you are complete with or without people. If you don’t have the relationships you desire, consider this: My All Knowing Father is protecting me from someone or something that isn’t good for me right now! I’m shouting hallelujah right about now . . . how about you?

11 For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

12 O Lord of hosts, blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts in You [leaning and believing on You, committing all and confidently looking to You, and that without fear or misgiving]! – Psalm 84:11-12 AMP

Mentee, He is leading me to continuing pouring out to you and allowing Him to make you in the area of no relationships. I see so many ministers who don’t allow Him to make them in this area end up in inappropriate relationships with the people in the ministry. Because they won’t allow Him to bring them to completeness, you’ll find such pastors leaving their wife for the church secretary. The other thing you’ll spot in leadership that is unmade in this area is the pastor (or other five-fold leader) sleeping around in the church with this one and that one and with the choir members and the praise leader, etc. These unmade leaders end up confiding in people around them in ministry things. They share things they shouldn’t share and instead of assuming the role of being a vessel assigned to help, support, and train, they befriend. Have you ever seen a leader and their protégé or mentee walking around looking like besties? This is not what Yahweh intends! Even Yahshua maintained the appropriate perspective of those He loved them, and at the same time the premise of that love and their relationship hinged on Him doing the will of the Father for those He gave Him and placed in His life. Does this hold true for you?

Epaphras, who is one of yourselves, a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. [He is] always striving for you earnestly in his prayers, [pleading] that you may [as persons of ripe character and clear conviction] stand firm and mature [in spiritual growth], convinced and fully assured in everything willed by God. – Colossians 4:12 AMP

Hello mentee,

As you know, I’m often asked to provide some indications or signs of the characteristics of “being made” and “being unmade.” Today, I share such a sign with you via this quote.

“You haven’t been made financially yet if Yahweh can’t trust you to bring your tithes on time.”

By the way, when you decide you want to bring your tithes late, you need to add an additional 5% to them in order to redeem them so Yahweh will accept them (Leviticus 27:30-31). Don’t be deceived into thinking just because you bring your tithes to Him late, He accepts them. He’s released His way to bring them when they are late through this post. We must not fail to remember that the tithe belongs to Him, and it’s sanctified. It’s time to prove to your God that you are allowing Him to make you financially by your actions!

My prayer is that this post has convicted and stirred you to redeem your finances from the curse that comes from not tithing, tithing late, and not re-devoting and sanctifying the tithe back to Yahweh.

If you’ve been a minister for any length of time, you’ve encountered the darkness on the inside of those who profess they are ministers of Christ. I gracefully believe all, hope in all, and endure all. Truthfully though, sometimes I feel like I’ve been duped by darkness again.

There are assignments Yahweh will give you and you’ve obeyed everything He tells you and folks aren’t moved, convicted, and snatched from the darkness. They remain unchanged and thereby force you to pray, “Father, I’ve done what You’ve commanded me and I sense You’re release. I’m hurt by their lack of response to You as I know You are leading. Repel the darkness I’ve experienced and see in my interactions with them. Repel any future attempts of the enemy to attach this darkness to my life, ministry, and/or family in any way. These ministers are not Your glory carriers. Repel the darkness and move me into the next place You have for me. Usher me into my next assigned destination. Send me to those who will obey; who will be broken and submit. Send me to those who will embrace your instruction like the light that it is and therefore qualify to carry the glory. Guide me to those who truly desire to carry the glory and are willing to do everything (no more, no less) you command, instruct, and say. Repel the false that the true may appear manifested. This is your servant’s prayer today. Thank you, Adonai. Thank you. I see Your glory in this situation (Exodus 33:18-19).”

Mentee, I share a declaration from Chapter 7 of The Making with you and invite you to repeat after me if you prayed the above prayer. Okay, here we go. “Darkness can’t stay. Darkness has to flee because I’ve got to be in the glory. Hallelujah!”
