Vacant Glories

A surrendered life is the key to living in the glory of Elohim (God). When you are completely submerged (e.g., surrendered to and in the Spirit), you will live by His urgings and prompting. Galatians 5 is the works of the flesh versus the fruit of the spirit chapter and many of us are familiar with how this passage reads. At the same time, there is a command that I believe many of us have missed. Here it is:

Be not of vacant glories! What is vacant glories? It is the thing in our flesh that causes us to ridicule one another in ministry (and in life), become full of self-glory, eager for empty glory, and envy one another’s ministry, house, status, glory, anointing, spiritual gifts, etc. (Galatians 5:26 AENT). When is the last time Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) found you in vacant glories? It’s time to repent and return to Him that He will fill you with His glory and cast off all vacant glory within you. This is my prayer for all in ministry who are being made into glorious vessels.

Resting gloriously in Him,

Karen sig-the making

One Response to “Vacant Glories”

  1. Marian says:

Oh my! I have been so used to saying that I am a fruit inspector, when it comes to living & walking in Galatians 5. This is a great word for today. I can get so very busy inspecting others fruit, that I may miss walking in the Spirit.

Thank you Father for sending this convicting word. I bless your name! I want to be made into that glorious vessel of honor, fit for the Masters use.
