What is the Glory?

Welcome to our first making-mentoring course!

This is Intro to the Glory – Pt. 1

Before we can become made into glorious vessels. We have to know how God defines glory.

15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

In the above Exodus 24:15-17 passage, we see the children of Israel saw the glory in their own eyes as fire. We, like the children of Israel, have many misconceptions, perceptions, and some deception about the glory. This scripture reveals to me that we are young and child-like as it concerns how we view God’s glory.  It tells me we need a better and more mature understanding of the glory of the Lord.  Who better to ask about the glory than the glory Himself – God.

So I asked God to, “Show me your glory!” and He replied, “You are my glory!”

The glory of God is mankind, saved and unsaved. The glory can be seen in all of man’s inventions and all of his cures. God is responsible for all that we see and hear for He is the source and the force. He is the creator of heaven and earth. The glory of God is seen before it is even manifested because there is nothing impossible for God, which why He commands us to walk by faith and not by sight. For the glory of God is all around us. The very molecules that make up matter, the very dust of the earth is the glory of God. He speaks and it is.

More specifically, The glory of God is the nature of God and the character of God. The nature of God is two fold. When I speak of the nature of God I mean the earth, land, sea, animals, and all of His creation (including us). The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. – Psalm 19:1 KJV.

The second aspect of the nature of God refers to Him as the spirit we worship. The nature of God includes the power of God. You can’t separate the nature of God from the power of God. It is who He is. Almighty God, amen?!

Come on back tomorrow as we continue exploring What is the glory?
